How Does a Sewer Line Become Damaged?
Your main sewer line is nothing to mess around with. While these are built to last, there are some problematic circumstances, big and small, that can harm your plumbing system if you are unaware of what is happening. A remaining drain clog that is only partially removed can travel and build up deeper in your line. Corrosive soil can slowly degrade the metal and lead to cracks, while septic tank issues or simply old age can impact the integrity of your line. Sometimes the earth can shift and damage a pipe in the process, tree roots can encroach, or installation error can result in a need for sewer line repair.
Types of Water Heaters
Traditional and tankless water heaters are among the most popular options for homes and commercial properties. Tankless units, sometimes referred to as on-demand units, only heat up the exact amount of water that is needed. Traditional units keep a hot tank of water ready to go at all times. Tankless heaters are often preferred because they take up less space, use less energy, and lower energy costs.

Is Professional Drain Cleaning Necessary?
Clogs are both annoying and can lead to bigger problems if they are not fully removed, as a partial clog can get lodged further down inside your piping system. Having a professional drain cleaning gets rid of slow drains and backups, along with reducing any odors that could be coming from your pipes. It also lowers your risk of a plumbing emergency because our professional can identify any other potential plumbing situations that could be contributing to your water usage like hidden leaks, poorly ventilated drains, or improper grading.

Ron, I have used Affordable Plumbing on several properties and was happy with the work of Ben and Curtis. My goal was to establish a reliable plumbing company to take care of all my plumbing needs on a regular basis. Recently, I had Curtis do a small re-pipe for a hot water line in a garage for $1550 after the $25 discount. No jack hammering, no digging in the mud, just cutting into the sheetrock and connecting a new flexible line from the water heater up through the garage ceiling and connecting it to the hot water line approximately 10 feet away bypassing the leak under the slab. Unfortunately, I had a tenant moving in the next day and had to have the job done before move in. Two concerns: I had to pay a leak detection company $225 for their services (Precision did a great job locating the pipes, and determining exactly where the leak was located) when the plumber should have provided the service. The charge of $1550 works out be about $450+ per hour for 3 hours of labor and $200 for parts. I've been in the R/E business for over 40 years and the pricing scale practiced and encouraged by Affordable is unacceptable. I am not criticizing the work, but the breakdown of the hourly rate is over the top. You have the right to run your business as you see fit, but I also have to run a business, and unfortunately, you just priced yourself out of an account of 27 properties. I thank you for your past service.
